Since hive #1 was low in numbers, I took a good full brood comb from the much larger #3 hive.
It went well. The bees were very calm. I brushed the bees from one side then turned the comb to do the other side. But while I was brushing the other side, bees started covering the already brushed side! Had to work fast!
I have not inspected Hive #1 since adding the brood, but I have noticed a rise in activity.
