Noticed that the hive activity had dropped in the hive #1 (package), so I did a full hive inspection. There is only capped worker cells. These are in the first 5 bars (top bar hive). The rest of the combs are empty and the bees seem busy cleaning them out. There is no stored honey or pollen on any of the combs. There were a lot of bees in the back of the hive at the top and others on the floor looking a little week. Found the queen, but no eggs or larva.
I started feeding both hives with outside feeders. I add pollen patty to hive #1.
Hive #1 took all of the pollen patty and is now stronger. They are bringing in pollen on their own and the queen has started laying again.
