Very disappointing Spring.
Lost the 3 colonies down front near the road. Not sure of the cause of death. Not very many dead bees in two of the colonies, so those were probably a slow death, possibly from the lost of the queen. Going to keep all colonies to the back of the property. This will make them all easier to manage.
Colonies on the back deck absconded late Fall. This was probably due to skunks at the hives.
Ended up with my two best Langs and two Top Bar hives surviving. Hoping for a lot of swarms.
